Baixian Town is located at the converging point of the three provinces Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui. It adjoins Meishan Town in the east, Huaikan Town in the south, Guangde of Anhui province in the west and Yixing of Jiangsu in the north. It has a population of 11 155 and covers an area of 43 km2. There are more than 50,000 mu of mountain area, 39,000 mu of which are bamboo.There are 4,908 mu of cultivated land and among which there are 3,178 mu paddy fields. The main agricultural products are rice, seed oil, bamboo, wood, and tea. It has been awarded by Zhejiang Province as one of towns doing well in sports and education.
